Family Connect - Digital Program for community


Family Connect is a digital inclusion programme for people who have low or no education qualifications. 
Only 10 hours to complete the program all in ONE WEEK. 
Program is free; however, you will need to pay $50 for the Laptop you will receive after completing the program.
Criteria for participants:

·      Aged 16 years or over
·      Not a full-time secondary student
·      Does not have level 1 or 2
·      Long term unemployed
·      Stay at home parents
·      Grandparents raising grandchildren

What do you get?

Training & Support
·      10hours F-2-F class time
·      20hours skills development

Technology Access
·      You get a Refurbished laptop cost $50
·      2 hours’ free tech support
·      Subsidized internet for 12mths
·      $10 per week unlimited internet connection

4th December    MONDAY 10AM -1.30PM
5th December    TUESDAY 10AM – 1.30PM
7th December    THURSDAY 10AM – 1PM

H.O.P.E FREE DIABETES PROGRAM
Empowering families to live a healthier lifestyle
HOPE is a family based diabetes prevention programme aim to bring families together to learn about healthy food choices and family fun activities.

HOPE consists of four interactive sessions and one follow up evaluation sessions.
Session One: This is who we are
Session Two: Cultural Value of Food and Generational Patterns
Session Three: Family Fun Activities
Session Four: The Family Action Plan

Sessions will include—a small presentation, a short fun physical activity, and then end off with lunch together!

Friendship club will be on Tuesday's and Thursday's during Break 1 in the hall.
Junior students will be on Tuesday's and the Seniors and Middles Students will be on Thursday.
Starting after eating time and finishes 5mins before the break bell goes to return to class.

SAMOAN LANGUAGE WEEK
IS ALMOST COMING TO AN END..

THEME: Vaiaso o le Gagana Sāmoa – Sāmoan Language week starting 28th of May through to 3rd of June 2017.
The Sāmoan language is the third most commonly spoken language in New Zealand, immediately following English and Te reo Maori.
This year’s theme is:
"Ma’au i lou ofaga. Maua’a lou fa’asinomaga” – “Keep your identity alive to thrive”
